Frequently Asked
Questions

1. Is there any preparation that I need to do to my quilt before I give it to you?

Yes. The best way to ensure that your quilt will look amazing is to iron the top and bottom fabric of your quilt. Make sure all the seams are pressed in the proper direction. Doing a "final lap" stitch is also a great idea. Doing a stitch about an 1/8th of an inch all the way around will hold all the seams together. Finally, make sure all of your threads are snipped on the back of the quilt top.

2. What is your turnaround time?

My turnaround time is 2 weeks from the date I receive your quilt. I do offer a rush service for $25.00. Rush turnaround is 1 week from the date I receive your quilt. As with anything, if there is a specific time frame you need, just reach out and will do my best to make it happen.

3. Do you accept quilts by mail?

I love to receive quilts by mail! It's like Christmas for me when I get a new quilt in the mail! I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, so if it's easier to mail your quilt, then please do! Just make sure when packing up your quilt top and backing fabric, that you wrap them in a plastic bag before putting them in the box. This will prevent any moisture getting on them.

4. Can you piece my backing?

Yes, I would be happy to piece your backing. It is $15 for me to seam your backing.

5. Do you offer binding services? Yes!

$20.00: Attaching your prepped binding to the front or back of your quilt.

(With this option, you will be doing either the hand or machine stitching to finish the quilt)
$40.00: Making the prepped binding (with fabric you provide) and attaching to the front or back of your quilt. (With this option, you will be doing either the hand or machine stitching to finish the quilt)
$60.00: Finishing the binding so you receive a fully finished quilt. Machine bound.

6. What size quilt can you quilt on a longarm?

Anything from a wall-hanging to a king sized quilt.

7. What if you don't have the design that I want on my quilt?

If there is a design that you want for your quilt and I do not have it, I am more than happy to get the design for you. After all, a girl can never have too many designs! Here are the sites that I buy my designs from Feel free to have a look, if you find a design, just let me know the name and I will purchase it for my library.

8. What if my quilt and backing are directional?

Not a problem at all. Most clients like to put a sticky note pinned to the quilt top/backing to indicate the top.

9. Will you help me in the design process?

Yes, this is one of my favorite parts! I would love to help in any way that I can. Working with clients is a great way to throw around ideas and get the best possible outcome for your quilt.

10. How do I ship my quilt to you?

Once you have completed your intake sheet, I will be in touch with you to give you my shipping address. The best way to mail your quilt and backing to me is via USPS.

11. How big does my backing need to be?

Your backing fabric needs to be 8 inches wider and 8 inches longer than the quilt top. If your quilt is 60 inches by 80 inches, then your backing needs to be at lease 68 inches by 88 inches.
